OK, so a while back I said that I'm going to lose 10 pounds by May. I'm going to be listing my weight on a semi-weekly basis so that people can make fun of me or encourage me. I'll title them all "weight" so that if you don't want to read it, you don't have to.

This morning, I weighed 194.0 pounds. I'm going to say that I was 195.0 for my goal start, because my original weight was 205 and 195 is 10 pounds lighter. So my new goal weight is 185, which is closer to my doctor's "ideal" weight for me...170.

So that's my story, thanks for watching. Place your bets on when I reach the target goal.

I need some help...

Why? I'm an adult, I should at least have a PG-13 rating. I need to swear more. I mean, a "G"? Kids don't even go to "G" rated movies anymore.

More on Resolutions

So, I have a few blogs I regularly check out, one being This site has a varied bunch of things, but all technology related. I found it through, which is a place that puts a toolbar in your browser and when you are bored, you click a button which opens up a site that fits your selected preferences. I like web-related stuff, so I stumbled on this. I love that little button!

Anyway, because this is a new year and people are "resoluting," they put this on their site: 5 Tracking Apps to Help You Out in 2008. And I found one I am starting to like called,

On this site, you put down your goals and they put you in touch with people who have that same goal, or have completed that goal. I put mine up there and have not really played around much with it, but I'm liking it so far.

So, check out those sites, some might be neat, some might suck, but have fun.

Happy New Year!

A friend, Moe, blogged her resolutions. Since I know that my resolutions won't work, I normally don't make them. However, since this is a public space, which people can poke and prod at someone if they don't fulfill a resolution, I will write some "goals" for 2008. Also, I used to work for Franklin Covey, so they are SMART-Specific, Measurable, Action-Oriented and Timely. Except for a couple that it would be cheesy to set actual SMART goals. (Thanks for the idea, Moe!)
  • By June 15th, 2008, I will reduce clutter in my home by storing papers and class notes in an electronic format.

  • I will lose 10 more pounds by May 15th by working out 3 times a week.

  • I will decrease spending by eating outside of the home no more than once a week. (Unless someone is treating!)

  • I will read one book this summer for fun (due date August 15, 2008). (I don't read for fun right now.)

  • I will keep in better contact with family and friends (I'm really bad at this.)

  • I will spend more time on studies.

This is all I have, I guess they were only SMART-ish, but a little better than what could have gone up here. Wish me luck.
